ALERT: Heavy rainfall to hit 10 Districts of Rwanda

Residents and visitors in Districts of Southern and Eastern parts of the country brace for potential floods as heavy rains are predicted over the next 10 days and better part of February.
The latest prediction by Rwanda weather man show enhanced amount of rainfall will likely result in floods and landslides in at least 10 Districts namely Rusizi, Nyamasheke, Nyamagabe, Nyaruguru, Gisagara and Huye until February 10.
Karongi, Bugesera, Ngoma and Kirehe districts will equally experience enhanced rainfall ranging between 150 and 200 milimetres.
The Rwanda Meteorology Agency’s forecast for the month of February 2022 show heavy rains ranging in the 200-250 milimetre range will continue pounding South western part of the country.
